Starbucks’ Limited-release Mystical Frappuccino

Starbucks hopped on the trend train yet again (avocado toast!) with a limited-release Unicorn Frappuccino, a blended crème drink that appears to include anything but coffee. Despite the fact that reviews suggest it tastes like “sour birthday cake and Instagram likes” or “a naughty child’s birthday party,” the pink and blue drink topped with “fairy powders” is a popular one, with almost a million #unicornfrappuccino hashtags used on Instagram. The catch is that it’s only available April 19 through April 23—to many annoyed baristas’ relief. Starbucks employees lamented their experiences with the novelty item on social media, with one Reddit user writing “I never thought I’d have a near break down while covered in pink dust.”
