Gary Hayward, General Manager

The magic of the holiday season is once again upon us! This season can bring back so many wonderful memories, and I’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of the wonderful memories we’ve created here at Win-River Resort & Casino, while also looking towards an exciting future.

It is remarkable that it’s been over 21 years since we opened our doors.  So much has changed since then.  I can vividly remember our earliest days.  Now we have an absolutely stunning resort destination to call home.  There is one thing that has remained constant since we opened, and it’s been the reason behind our success from day one.  That is our commitment to embracing our organizational culture and having passion for creating memories and an experience our guests love.  Our culture is built upon several key components: our shared vision, mission, values, principles, and promise to our guests.  All of these components fuel our passion to provide a premier gaming, entertainment, and hospitality experience.  I am extraordinarily proud of the efforts our team members put forth to deliver this unparalleled experience for our guests.

We’ve never been hesitant to embrace change and take risks to enhance the guest experience.  In 2014, we introduced our latest breakthrough: we were the first Native American casino in California to become completely non-smoking.  The results have been overwhelmingly positive.  Our longtime valued guests are being joined by new guests that are now able to enjoy the premier experience we provide.  It has improved relationships in every area of our business.  Our team has shown that when we put relationships ahead of profits, and believe in our culture, success will always follow.

Our team members have made Win-River a truly exceptional organization.  There is none other like it, it is the one and only.  We have the best people and we’re proud to provide the best experience.  I have every reason to believe, without a doubt, that 2015 will be an absolutely phenomenal year.  I remain humbled by the opportunity to be part of such an incredible organization, and above all, I’m so grateful to work alongside each of our talented team members.  I look forward to many more years of doing what we love: creating unforgettable moments.  I wish the happiest of holiday seasons to you and your loved ones.
