All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I’m fine – Jeff Spicoli.

If you’re a Beach Boys fan, there are several ways you could celebrate that fact. You could spend a year lying in bed (just like Brian Wilson did), but that could be very inconvenient for your boss and your family. Plus, bed sores are a distinct possibility.

Or you could go down to Cocomo… except that it doesn’t really exist. Seriously, they made that place up. I know it sounds great, but we wouldn’t lie to you about such a thing. Or you could drag race in a little deuce coup, but with modern traffic cameras the police would be on you before you ever hit dead man’s curve. There’s also the added threat that you might hit some little old lady from Pasadena.

We recommend a different route for getting your Beach Boys fix, and that’s to come out to the Win-River Resort and Casino to Catch a Wave!

If you like the sound of the beach boys you’ll love the Catch A Wave concert, a Beach Boys Tribute happening Friday, May 19 at Win-River. Doors will open at 6:30 and the sweet harmonies and catchy choruses will penetrate your eardrums starting at 7:30.

The idea for this incredible show was to recreate the look and sound of a live Beach Boys concert circa 1964 to 1969, replicating a unique harmonic California sound that was created by Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine. This was the spark that ignited the flame in back in 2000, and it still burns today in every performance.

Catch a Wave is currently headlining for Holland America, Disney, and Norwegian Cruise Lines, but you can catch the show right here at Win-River Resort & Casino without having to hit the open seas on a vacation. Now that’s convenience.

For more info on Catch A Wave and to see their dates for the rest of 2017, check out http://www.catchawaveshow.com/schedule.html. Once you see them here at the River, you might just become one of those groupies that follows them around the country. Unless you have to work on Monday.
